Delhi Metro | DMRC opens 25 km long Kalkaji Mandir-Janakpuri West section of Magenta Line

New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) achieved the another milestone today.  Magenta Line ( Kalkaji Mandir-Janakpuri West ) of Delhi Metro inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Magenta Line Route Map The metro commuters will be able to enjoy the journey on train from May 29 (Tuesday) morning at 6.00am onward. With the start of the Magenta Line, residents of Delhi, Haryana (Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal), and UP (Ghaziabad and Noida) will benefit from the start of the section. The special thing is that due to the introduction of this line, the travel period between Noida and Gurugram will be reduced by at least 30 minutes. Delhi Metro | DMRC reschedules opening of Kalkaji Mandir-Janakpuri West section

New Delhi: There is a good news on Monday for people waiting for the opening of the Kalkaji Mandir-Janakpuri West section on the Magenta Line of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). This section will be opened for the general public from May 29 next week. According to information received from DMRC, this section will be now inaugurated on 28th May instead of 24th May and the passengers will be able to take metro ride on this section on the next day i.e. 29th May, 2018. According to earlier information received from DMRC, the section was scheduled to open on 25th May for the general public and the inauguration date was scheduled on 24th May. The latest update said that this section will be inaugurated on 28th May and will be opened to the public on May 29 at 6 am onward. With the launch of this line, people of Noida (UP) and Gururgram-Faridabad (Haryana) along with Delhi will also be get beneficiated. Delhi Metro | Train Operator beaten badly, no action by Delhi Police and Metro Authority

New Delhi: Ahead opening of rest section of Magenta Line between Kalkaji Mandir – Janakpuri West , a news has recently been viral on the social media regarding a Train Operator of Delhi Metro beaten by some unknown people outside of Kalindikunj Metro Depot. Employees saying that Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) failed to ensure security and safety of its staff during and off duty hours. Train Operator Manish Kumar who was performing evening duty on Magenta Line (Botanical Garden – Kalkaji Mandir Section) was beaten badly by someone in front of Kalindi Kunj Metro depot . The incident was took place in late evening on 16th May 2018 (after 10.30pm). It was happened due to non-availability of Cab facility to him after discharging his duty on Magenta Line. New Delhi: After receiving  safety clearance from Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) on Tuesday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is set to open the remaining part of its Magenta Line between Kalkaji Mandir – Janakpuri West on 24 May 2018. DMRC set tentative progarmme for flagging off ceremony of Kalkaji Mandir – Janakpuri (West) section of Magenta Line. New Delhi: The Commissioner for Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) has today issued safety clearance along with certain conditions to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on completion of his safety inspection of remaining section 25.6 km of Magenta Line between Kalakaji Mandir – Janakpuri Wes t (Line-8).  CMRS Shri S.K. Pathak along with his team have completed safety inspection on the Kalakaji Mandir – Janakpuri West section from 7- 10th May 2018. Delhi Metro | DMRC"s Janakpuri West Metro station will get India"s longest escalator

New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which has made a significant contribution in facilitating people to travel in Delhi, has made a new record. Actually, Delhi Metro has installed India’s longest escalator ever. This escalator is installed at the Janakpuri West Metro station of Magenta Line. So far, the Escalator located at Terminal 2 of Mumbai Airport is the longest in India, with a length of 11.6 meters. At the same time the length of the Escalator at Janakpri West Metro station is 15.6 meters. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation spokesperson, its height is as much as a 5-story building. With the opening of new section between Kalkaji Mandir Metro and Janakpuri West , this escalator will start functioning.
