Noida Metro | Delhi Metro cards cannot be used on Aqua Line

Noida: There will be a different ticketing system for soon-to-be-made operational Aqua Line . This line will also have a different security set-up as well. Commuters will not be able to make use of their Delhi Metro card while traveling on this line. Besides this, there will be no interchange between the Sector 71 Station on the Aqua Line as well as Sector 52 station on the Blue Line extension in Noida. This arrangement will stay put with no change in the near future. Officials at Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) managing the  29.7km Aqua Line strongly feel that the interchange between the Aqua and Blue lines will not be a smooth affair. More so once the Aqua Line is open to the public. As per latest news, tickets issued for Aqua Line by NMRC will not be valid for commuting on Blue Line. Noida Metro | Trial run for aqua line between sector-71 to sector-83

Noida: On Monday, a trial started on the aqua line between Sector-71 to Sector-83 running from Noida to Greater Noida. This line will facilitate people living in Greater Noida can easily travel to Delhi-NCR. According to the sources, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) executive director PD Upadhyay said that the trial began on Sector-71 to Sector-83 between about 4.5 and 5 km long track. This is being done by the Trial Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO). He told that the trial will now be started simultaneously from the Sector-71 to the Greater Noida Depot, on a total of 29.707 km long Metro track. Upadhyay also said that the trial of the Metro was started in three phases. He said that the trial began in April from Greater Noida Depot to Sector-147. On July 25, the trial began from Sector-147 to Sector-83. On Monday, testing has begun from Sector-83 to Sector-71 Noida Depot. Noida Metro | NMRC starts trail runs to cover 15 stations of Noida-Greater Nodia

Noida: The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has started trail runs on the Noida-Greater Nodia stretch from July 25. The trail run will be conducted in 15 stations out of 22. Currently, trails were conducted till Sector 146 station only which is the 8 th station on the route from the depot that lies in Greater Nodia. Officials of NMRC shared that they hope that trial runs covering the entire metro stretch be covered within a month. Executive director of NMRC, PD Upadhyay said that with this trail run they will be able to cover all the 15 stations in totality. All the trial runs are been supervised and conducted by the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO). This extended trial run that began from July 25 will be covering 23km line out of the total of 29.7km. At the moment the Noida metro line was covering 10km stretch starting from Delta to Sector 146. Noida: Chinese company CRRC Corporation Limited has dispatched two more trains to Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) and they are expected to reach in Noida by March 20, 2018. On December 13, 2017, the NMRC had received its first aqua line train of four coaches , paving the way for a test trial run that started on January 2. The new trains that will arrive also have four coaches each. The NMRC is procuring trains from China at an estimated cost of ₹800 crore. According to NMRC Spokesperson, they are to get a total 19 trains for the 30km Noida-Greater Noida Metro Link, which will be ready for trial run in April. But they will get all these 19 trains by 2019. They need 11 trains to start their commercial operations on Noida-Greater Noida metro link, which is almost ready. Presently they are busy in testing the electrical work and signals, and giving finishing touches to the Metro stations. One month after the first test run of the Aqua metro line on the Noida-Greater Noida corridor, another test was held on Friday, this time the train travelling till Alpha-II station from the depot metro station. The four-coach test train covered nearly 2.5km at a speed of 35 km per hour during the ‘internal’ trial. It was the first time that the train has been tested outside the depot yard, where trials were being conducted since January 2. “On Friday afternoon, the train travelled from the depot (yard) and crossed three stations including depot station, Delta-I station and Alpha-II station before it returned to the depot. Noida Metro | NMRC receives first Aqua Line Metro train from CRRC China

Noida: The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) received first train for the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Aqua line which reached the Greater Noida depot on Thursday. According to NMRC Officials, the four-coach train will be formally unveiled for a first look on December 18, 2017 by the Managing Directors of NMRC, Alok Tandon. DMRC Chief Mangu Singh will also present in inauguration ceremony. First trials for the corridor are expected to start from the end of the month. The first train of the 29.7 km Noida-Greater Noida Metro corridor was dispatched from CRRC Nanjing , China for Mundra port in Gujarat on November 2, 2017 and from there, the train was rolled out by road to the Greater Noida depot. Noida Metro | DMRC completes the viaduct on Noida-Greater Noida corridor

New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) today erected the last girder of the Noida – Greater Noida Corridor in the presence of Dr. Mangu Singh, MD/ DMRC, Shri Alok Tandon, MD / NMRC and CEO Noida Authority and other senior DMRC and NMRC officials. With the erection of this Girder, the viaduct of this approx. 30 km long corridor has been completed. The Civil Work on this corridor began in May 2015 and the first girder was launched in December 2015 and within a span of 22 months DMRC has erected a total of 2830 Girders (2035 U- Girders and 795 I – Girders). This last U- girder was launched today between Sector 143 and Sector 144 stations of the corridor. DMRC had successfully executed the task of erecting 200 U-Girders on the Noida – Greater Noida corridor in the month of May 2016. .
