With the announcement of National Rail Plan, a lot of reforms are being undertaken by the Indian Railways to improve the stability of the railway sector and retain the image of being one of the premier organizations in the country. The focus of the ambitious plan will be on upgrading the tracks, signaling, implementing safety parameters, station modernization and electrification systems on the railway tracks to improve punctuality, speed and safety of the trains.
