Chennai: There is very good news for Chennai metro commuters, now commuters no need to wait for a long time at Chennai’s metro stations, thanks to the latest update on the CMRL app. A new updated App has been introduced to Chennai Metro Rail Ltd. (CMRL) app which will give real-time information on all arrivals and delays of trains at all stations in the city. Apart from this app will also help you to recharge your smart card and send complaints to metro authorities in case something goes wrong. Before this, the CMRL app uses to give information regarding the daily train timetable. The distance covered, cost of journey and names of the station can be known through this App.  However, commuters had frequent problems with the timings as the trains would come 10 minutes after the app alerted the commuters. Hyderabad: A rapid mass transit system (MRTS) can be on the cards for Hyderabad with a government agency launching the process of identifying a project consultant for the MRTS Corridor connecting Minotaur, Shilaparamam and Gachibowli. The corridor under consideration is expected to boost connectivity with the IT center and some areas of rapid development in the western parts of the city. It will complement the existing MMTS that attracts several points of the city from Lingampally and the Metro Rail network. Lucknow: The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) – one of the apex body in India to rate and certify a system as a ‘Green’ system – has certified LMRC a “Green Metro Rail System”, thereby, awarding platinum certificate to all its eight Metro stations on the ‘Priority Corridor’ from Transport Nagar to Charbagh which is due for public inauguration very soon. Today, Platinum certificates and plaques for 8 stations of the priority corridor was handed over to Shri Kumar Keshav ,Managing Director by Mr. S. Raghupathy, Deputy Director General, CII- IGBC  at the LMRC  Administrative Office , Gomti Nagar. This is highest green rating for any civil structure or building which has been awarded to LMRC.
