Delhi Metro | CMRS to carry safety check of Shiv Vihar-Trilokpuri section on Pink Line

New Delhi: Finally Commissioner for Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) has given his date to carry out the safety inspection of 17.86 km long stretch of Shiv Vihar - Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake on Pink Line (Line-7) on October 20. After successful inspection and obtaining safety clearance, this section will be opened for the public. This section having 15 elevated stations including three interchange facilities. The stations come in this section are Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake, East Vinod Nagar-Mayur Vihar-II, Mandawali-West Vinod Nagar, IP Extension, Anand Vihar ISBT, Karkardooma, Karkardooma Court, Krishna Nagar, East Azad Nagar, Welcome, Jaffrabad, Maujpur- Babarpur, Gokulpuri, Johri Enclave, and Shiv Vihar. The three interchange stations on this new section are Anand Vihar (Blue Line), Karkarduma (Blue Line) and Welcome (Red Line).  After the opening of this new section, the Delhi Metro network will expand to 314 km. Delhi Metro | Trial runs on section connecting Lajpat Nagar and Mayur Vihar

New Delhi: After connecting Delhi’s largest shopping centers , Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Wednesday started test runs on Pink Line’s 9.7-km stretch between Lajpat Nagar and Mayur Vihar Pocket- 1. This section is part of the 59-km long Pink Line also known as the Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar corridor. New Delhi:   On 6 August Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) inaugurated the Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus to Lajpat Nagar section on the Pink Line. Delhi Metro | Poor construction causes damages in Pink Line of DMRC

New Delhi: One more incident occurs in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation station. Due to heavy rain newly built platform gets damaged and water logged in concourse area of metro station at Bhikaji Cama Place on  Pink Line (Line 7). This is very bad news for Delhi Metro Commuters that the line which was likely to start in August gets damaged. This damages clearly shows poor construction and low quality material used in while constructing. On 25 July Pink line Inspection was done by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS). Delhi Metro | CMRS completes inspection of Durgabhai Deshmukh-Lajpat stretch

New Delhi: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) pink line was inspected by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS).  The stretch from Durgabai Deshmukh college to Lajpat Nagar is expected to commenece by this month. This 8 km stretch includes two inter-change facilities from INA and Lajpat Nagar. This stretch is also a part of pink line’s 59 km Majlis Park to CMRS. The senior DMRC official stated the inspection took place yesterday. Earlier inspection scheduled to be held on 23 July and was postponed by a day. A pink line comes under Delhi Metro Phase III. The news stations are Sir Vishveshariah Moti Bagh, Bhikhaji Cama Place, Sarojini Nagar, INA, South Extension and Lajpat Nagar. The shopping lovers will be most benefitted from this metro line as it now connects Sarojini Nagar. It is one of the most famous markets in Delhi. Delhi Metro | DMRC all sets to open South Campus-Lajpat Nagar stretch in 15 days

Delhi: The much awaited Pink Line metro stretch would soon be made operational by next month as per sources from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) . If all goes well, by the end of this year the entire 59km stretch will be open for public. The second phase, the Delhi Metro stretch that will open shortly will be connecting popular shopping centers like the South Extenstion, Sarojni Nagar, Lajpat Nagar and INA. In March the first stretch starting from Majlis Park to South Campus was opened for public this year. Now the second stretch from South Campus to Lajpat Nagar is expected to open by first week of August. The third stretch from Lajpat Nagar to Shiv Vihar is likely to be made operational in two instalments owing to land acquisition issues with Trilokpuri section, added the source. New Delhi: The Bhikaji Cama Place metro station, which comes under Delhi Metro’s Pink line, will have a five-story office complex of its own. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC)  is expecting this step will be big revenue generator as the station is located in one of the best locations of South Delhi and with an office plaza built above the underground station. New Delhi:   Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC ) has brought good news for commuters to INA Sarojni Nagar, South Extension and Lajpat Nagar. Metro services of pink line are all set to start as earlier. Total length of Pink Line was planned to be opened in different stages its total length was kept 58.59 Km which include 39.479 Km elevated and 19.117 Km underground. There is total 38 number of station under which 26 stations are elevated and 12 are underground.
