Hyperloop | Mumbai to build vacuum tube infrastructure from December

Mumbai:  Settle into a pod in a vacuum tube, fasten your seat belt and whizz across to Pune from Mumbai in 20 minutes. Devendra Fadnavis , Maharashtra’s chief minister, believes the regular inter-city traveler will be able to do and afford this by 2024. By the end of 2018, construction is set to begin on a 15-km test track for the Mumbai-Pune hyperloop. For the uninitiated, the Hyperloop is a still-untested high-speed mass transportation concept floated by American entrepreneur and innovator Elon Musk. It involves building a near-perfect vacuum tunnel or tube, a railway track and a vehicle that floats above the track using magnetic levitation. Cargo and—if all goes well—passengers can then be loaded into this vehicle, which accelerates through electric propulsion and picks up speed due to extremely low friction in a vacuum. Mumbai Metro One completes 4 successful years of seamless travel

Mumbai, June 8, 2018:  Reliance Infrastructure promoted   Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL), the lifeline between Mumbai’s Western and Eastern suburbs, today completed four successful years of seamless and comfortable travel for over 400 million passengers. To mark the completion of the coveted landmark in Mumbai’s transportation history, Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis launched several initiatives at Versova Metro Station. Mr. Fadnavis inaugurated the “Majhi Metro Art” train of award-winning paintings, poems and photographs at the festival held earlier in the year. Maharashtra to frame an attractive policy for establishing that offers incentives to the companies of manufacture of coaches

Mumbai: The chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, has asked the officials of the department of industries of the state to develop a policy that offers incentives to the companies of manufacture of coaches so that they establish units in Maharashtra. Fadnavis, who heads the Development Authority of the Metropolitan Region of Mumbai (MMRDA), recently asked his officials to enter into a dialogue with the companies that manufacture Metro buses. Pravin Darade ( additional metropolitan commissioner of MMRDA): “The measure is part of the ‘Make in Maharashtra’ program, and CM has directed urban development departments and industries to formulate a package that offers incentives to companies that are willing. to carry out the manufacture of rolling stock in Maharashtra.” 2. Mumbai Metro | CM Fadnavis promises to extend Metro rail upto Gaimukh

Mumbai: The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Devendra Fadnavis promised Mira-Bhayander residents that Metro will be extended up to Gaimukh and assured to conduct a feasibility study immediately. “MMRDA is meant to develop the metropolitan region and we are committed to fulfill your requirements. I promise you an integrated transport system and also a stadium at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Maidan in Mira Road”, the Chief Minister was speaking at the Bhoomipujan ceremony for the 403 MLD Surya Regional Water Supply Scheme on Monday. The Chief Minister further announced a Ro-Ro service which will carry passengers and vehicles around areas Gorai, Borivli, Bhayander Vasai etc., ”This would mean that the Mira-Bhayander area will get connectivity through Railway, Metro, Road and Water”, he said.
