Jaipur Metro | JMRC likely to advance on Second Phase of metro

Jaipur:   The  Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) is likely to advance to the second phase of metro project. This despite the fact that the first phase is largely held as non-viable in its current format by the CAG. But that is not stopping JMRC to initiate Jaipur Metro Phase II plan. JMRC plans to go ahead with second phase with the current capacities it has. The state urban development department is confident of taking things ahead and it does not foresee any halt to the project at the present state. They are optimistic even as chance of any financial assistance from government in the centre is bleak. Additional chief secretary, urban development shared that the project cannot be halted at the moment. They have to initiative work on second phase in order to reinstate feasibility to the project. Jaipur Metro | Soon metro to run on an automatic mode

Jaipur:  The Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS), Mumbai conducted a trial run last week. With this process completed Jaipur Metro is likely to run on Automatic Train Operation (ATO) mode soon. This was a much awaited request from the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) . The metro authorities had sent an application to CMRS requesting them to carry inspection between Mansarovar to Chandpole. The request was made to upgrade metro operation from Automatic Train Protection (ATP) to ATO. This request will finally see the light of the day if things go as planned. Project director of JMRC Ashwani Saxena informed that c Commissioner of Railway Safety (Western Circle) Sushil Chandra, conducted inspection on Friday night between 10 pm to 1pm. The trail runs were conducted successfully. JMRC is hopeful to start ATO system once they receive approval from the authorities. Jaipur Metro | JMRC’s claim to conserve rain water ambiguous

Jaipur: As per the latest Comptroller and Auditor and General of India (CAG) report, Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation’s (JMRC) claim of rain harvesting was found misleading. The metro body claims to have built a Rain Water Harvesting (RWH) structure along with ducts on 9.25 corridors between Mansarovar and Chandpole. This claim however was found to be misleading by the CAG. JMRC had claimed to conserve rain water via RWH plant. As per reports the construction work of 255 (RHW) pits was part of main construction work via ducts in the Jaipur project itself. Reports point out that only 29 RWH were built by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) till August 2017. Furthermore, these pits are not made as per approved designs and drawings. Ironically, these 29 structures were not operational even after operationalisation of phase- IA. As per sources JMRC was continuously following it up with DMRC to rectify the RWHs. Firm asks for two months more to prepare DPR of Jaipur Metro Phase –II

Jaipur: The French company EGIS Rail SA preparing detailed project report (DPR) for Jaipur Metro Phase II project has sought for two months extension. The company was to submit its report on August 3 but could not meet the deadline. The DPR is for Jaipur Metro Phase-II proposed for linking Sitapura to Ambabari. With the French company seeking two months of extension, the fate of this project is sealed till next government is elected. A senior Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) official shares that the French company has already given the traffic study and environment report. They will take time to compile the entire DPR as it entails incorporating suggestions by stake holders and public. Sources in government department share that any decision with regards to Phase-II will be taken once next government comes to power. Jaipur Metro | JMRC faces delay in the ATO operations

Jaipur:  The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) is facing delay on automatic train project. As the permission from commission railway safety has not be granted. Even the Mumbai driverless project result is still awaited. After successfully completing trial Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation will start the operation work of ATO system by the mid or end of the August as the permission has not been received by Commission Railway Safety. ATP is the automatic train system it is one of the smartest and modern types of train protection system. It keeps a minute to minute speed of the train by signaling. If it doesn’t get any signal the train will automatically stop. The Jaipur metro official stated that they had sent the report of the impact safety accessor (ISR) to CMR and waiting for the approval. Jaipur Metro | JMRC again ready to increase its non-fair revenue system

Jaipur: The  Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation  (JMRC) is once again ready to increase its non-fare revenue from the Jaipur Metro. The tenders are invited to sublet the retail space for setting up the ATM machine at the metro station. The corporation has decided to lease out space and will provide an extension after the completion. The form for the tender applicant can deposit till August 21, 2018. JMRC had decided to sublet the three-metro station Vivek Vihar, Chandra pole, Ramnagar. The corporation has decided to lease out spaces for a five- year extension after completion. The about 472.70 square meter at concourse level and 165 square meters at the Vivek Vihar metro station will be leased out and for Ramnagar 2038 square meter for starting 15 years and extension for 5 years. Jaipur Metro | Population projection planned on inflated stats!

Jaipur:   The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had proposed a medium metro system for Jaipur Metro based on population estimate for 2031. It seems the plan will have to be altered as the populated estimated was 92 lakh by DMRC. But as per Jaipur Metro official estimate the population to about 52 lakh. This figure is 44 % less than the projected population. DMRC had prepared detailed plan based on inflated population in Jaipur. As per Delhi Metro officials estimated peak hour per direction traffic (PHPDT) of 27,750 by the year 2031 for east corridor. Based on the data they had proposed a light rail transit system, a medium metro system for the recommended peak traffic load of upto 25,000 PHPDT. Jaipur Metro | By June-end Jaipur Metro to go driverless, trial completed

Jaipur: India would soon take pride in offering driverless metro rail ride soon. As per the recent news, trails for driverless Jaipur Metro have been completed.  Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) is now waiting for Commissioner of Rail Safety Mumbai to approve of the trail runs. Once JMRC receives the nod of the officials, metro will start automated train operations. Till now it was Japan leading the race by offering driverless metro trains to commuters. With driverless metro becoming operational, India will be part of the countries offering driverless metro rail services. With metro completing three years of completion, JMRC has also concluded the trail runs for the automated metro trains.
