Jaipur Metro | JMRC faces delay in the ATO operations

Jaipur:  The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) is facing delay on automatic train project. As the permission from commission railway safety has not be granted. Even the Mumbai driverless project result is still awaited. After successfully completing trial Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation will start the operation work of ATO system by the mid or end of the August as the permission has not been received by Commission Railway Safety. ATP is the automatic train system it is one of the smartest and modern types of train protection system. It keeps a minute to minute speed of the train by signaling. If it doesn’t get any signal the train will automatically stop. The Jaipur metro official stated that they had sent the report of the impact safety accessor (ISR) to CMR and waiting for the approval. Mumbai Metro | MMRC completes 5 km tunneling of Colaba-Seepz corridor

Mumbai:  The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) is executing the 33.5 km corridor of which the 5 km of tunneling across its alignment in the city has been completed. Underground corridor for the Colaba-Seepz metro line has completed 10% of tunneling work. Mumbai Monorail | Staircase brought monorail again in controversy

Mumbai: Once again the Mumbai Monorail is in the argument. Bhavya Heights Society, a housing society in Wadala has complained that the point of entry and exit staircase at the Wadala monorail station is blocking the access of fire brigade in the society. This housing society has now moved to high court which has castigated Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for not working in an organized way which has resulted in such situations. Now the court has said and directed the authorities further to assure that the other monorail project from Jacob Circle to Chembur will not have such problems. After LTSE left the monorail work the MMRDA is planning to start it again

Mumbai: The MMRDA is planning to operate and maintain the corridor on its own. It will hire and train new staff for conducting other activities and driving the trains. Mumbai metropolitan region development authority (MMRDA) is now weighing options to continue the services. After the contractors who were who were operating monorail, the consortium of L&T infrastructure- Scomi engineering (LTSE) left the MMRDA. PAC slammed MMRDA for poor planning and misjudging the feasibility of Mumbai Monorail

Mumbai: The public accounts committee (PAC) of the state legislature has criticized the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for its poor planning and for having misjudged the viability of the monorail and the Skywalks. Calling both facilities a “waste of public money,” the statutory committee said none was useful to citizens. In its report filed in the state legislature on Thursday, the committee said that although Phase 1 of the Monorail does not serve people traveling on overcrowded local trains, the government has been conducting safety tests for Phase 2. Mumbai Monorail Started in 2014, the first monorail project in India has caused losses. A response to an RTI submitted in September revealed that the monorail loses Rs3 lakh daily. While officials said that Phase 1, between Wadala and Chembur, covers a number of passengers of 18,000 passengers per day, many experts have described the project as “a getaway for citizens on weekends.” The MM...
