Hyderabad Metro | DPR in the final stage for Rail Phase-II

Hyderabad: In the final stage of Phase – II express connectivity to be made viable between Raidurg and international airport at Shamshabad. This is as per the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the Hyderabad Metro for second phase. The DPR will be prepared by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) and they are expected to submit the report soon. Managing Director, NVS Reddy of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) while speaking to the press said that they had an internal discussion and then DPR will be sent to state government for getting nod. The second phase will also include development of other Hyderabad Metro stretches; this apart from offering metro express connectivity to airport. Chennai Metro | CMRL appoints new design consultants

Chennai: Recently the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has appointed two new consultants. Which are Consulting Engineers Group CEG-AECOM consortium and Systra , a France-headquartered company to carry out the detailed design work for Phase II. The companies have been entrusted with preparing the detailed design for the two major corridors in Phase II — Madhavaram to CMBT and Madhavaram to Shollinganallur via Purasawalkam and Mylapore — that will be constructed first, according to official. The official sources releases that in July, the CEG-AECOM consortium was awarded the underground section of Madhavaram Milk Colony-Thousand Lights-Taramani Road and elevated section of Nehru Nagar to Sholinganallur section. The AECOM was a consultant which has also  work on the preliminary design of Hyderabad Metro. Kochi Metro | Delhi based IPE Global to prepare DPR of Vyttila Mobility Hub of Phase II

KOCHI: On Thursday the much-delayed Phase II development of the Vyttila Mobility Hub (VMH) got a major fillip as the implementing agency Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) awarded the consultancy work for the preparation of the detailed project report (DPR) to Delhi-based IPE Global Ltd. Within three month’s it is expected to be concluded. This contract is worth over Rs 1.20 crore. Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) in a press release said that the focus of developing the DPR for VMH will be on providing seamless connectivity between various modes of transport like buses, metro, ferry/water metro, autorickshaws and cabs in a passenger-centric manner. Jaipur Metro | Stakeholders okay extension of Phase II project

Jaipur:  The stakeholders of Jaipur metro approved the updated project report for Phase II of Jaipur metro on Friday. Phase II has been proposed on the length of 29.5 km between Sitapura and Vishwakarma Industrial Area and has a further agreement of extension of the route by 8 km as the plan is for the extension of Sitapura, which needs to be connected with Ring Road by the year 2031. Nagpur Metro | Maha Metro submits DPR for Phase II project to state govt

Nagpur: Nagpur metro phase II project’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) is submitted by the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited ( Maha Metro ) to state government’s Urban Development Department (UDD). The department will study the report in details and if they have any quarries they can question the DPR. After everything found Okay, then UDD will forward the DPR to state cabinet for approval. After the delay of 2 months. DPR is prepared by Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES). RITES had already completed its study which included traffic, topographic and geotechnical data and gave the green light to Phase ll earlier in February. Phase II will have five stretches having a total length of 48.3 km and 35 stations. The cost of the phase is about Rs10,500 crore at 2018 prices. Hyderabad Metro | HMRL expects to complete DPR of phase II project by August

Hyderabad : In August the detailed project report (DPR) for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited phase II including the line connecting the International airport is likely to be ready. Airport Connectivity Through International agencies, the DPR and the Telangana Government is looking at raising funds including JICA, for the expansion project to partly fund its implementation. The Delhi metro rail corporation which had earlier prepared the DPR for metro rail. Telangana minister for municipal administration and urban development KT Rama Rao said that the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was keen that the second phase and airport connectivity be taken up and completed at the earliest.
