Mumbai: Employees of the Malaysian based Scomi Engineering involved in operations of India"s first Monorail  in Mumbai. They have now appealed to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to find some solution for their salary issue. They urged the Chief Minister to restart operation of Monorail so that their issues can be resolved. If once the operation start employees will get new ray of hope that the will get their unpaid salaries since April 2018. In June, company told some employees to work from home and some were sent on leave due to issues raised between MMRDA and the Scomi Engineering. Which creates insecurity in minds of employees even numbers of employees has left their job. Which also reduces the number of employees from 350 to 200 only. The employees who fulfill the dream of monorail of millions of people are now not able to get what belongs to them. while interacting to employees we found that apart from salary, they have not clear the dues of PF, TDS etc. Not only staff member even vendors, suppliers, other agencies invoice has also became part of the cycle. Company is forcing employees to work from home without giving the salary surety. Mumbai: The MMRDA is planning to operate and maintain the corridor on its own. It will hire and train new staff for conducting other activities and driving the trains. Mumbai metropolitan region development authority (MMRDA) is now weighing options to continue the services. MUMBAI: Getting worse for the country’s monorail. Monorail services are suspended since the November last year. Operation of the 19.5 km corridor has been decided to pull out from the operations says Malaysian- based firm Scomi engineering. However the Mumbai metropolitan region development authority (MMRDA) said that the company cannot take any decision unilaterally. After the rake got fire in November last year the two were suspended on the 8.9 km stretch from Chembur to Wadala (Phase 1).The Phase 2 (from Wadala- Jacob circle) is not in operation yet. The 15 deadlines are missed by the 10.6 km. The pulling out from the operations was conveyed by the consortium but they cannot do so unilaterally. Mumbai: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has planned to issue a termination letter to scomi engineer, the supplier and operator of Mumbai monorail coaches.On the other the MMRDA is planning to float a tender in the next two months for 12 more new monorail trains .This time the supply tender will not operate the contract for the operations and maintain of new coaches.From chembur to Wadala and Wadala to Jacob circle this project was taken up in two phases .On February 14 th , the 8.8 km monorail stretch in the first phase was opened. In the starting of this year the MMRDA issues a new tender calling for bidders. It was mainly done to take over from scomi to operate  and maintain the monorail. Mumbai: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has said that Scomi Engineering, based in Malaysia, is not eligible to bid for the operations of the monorail Chembur-Jacob Circle corridor that has been in the news since its inception in 2014 for frequent breakdowns. The MMRDA has said that it has set certain terms and conditions that make the current operator, Scomi Engineering, ineligible to bid for Monorail operations. According to a senior MMRDA official, “we maintained certain terms and conditions in the offer announced for the appointment of a new monorail operator, which makes Scomi Engineering ineligible to participate in the tender process.
