Patna Metro | revised detailed project report stated, will run 20m beneath Bailey Road
Patna: The Patna Metro, says its revised detailed project report, will run 20m beneath Bailey Road on the west-east corridor. The cabinet on Tuesday approved the revised document submitted by the urban and housing development department. It will now be sent to the Centre. Sharing details, a senior department official closely associated with the Metro project said: “The design of the project has been prepared in such a manner that it would not affect the existing structures and take care to cause minimum disturbance to commuters during its execution.” The detailed project report was revised because, in the earlier one, the west-east corridor was supposed to run along the centre of Bailey Road but due to the execution of Lohia Path Chakra project, some portion of the Metro would have hindered its route. “Roughly speaking, the stretch between Mahavir temple on Bailey Road and Niyojan Bhavan will now run north of the Bailey road median and hence, the Metro alignment ...
