New Delhi: Under the fourth phase of Delhi Metro , the proposal which has been given the theoretical approval by the Finance Ministry, will make three corridors. Their total length will be 60 km. These three corridors will be like one at Yamuna Pahar, the other in West Delhi and the third in South Delhi. The total construction cost of these three projects will be Rs 34 thousand 580 crores. According to sources in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the Finance Ministry gives its approval only after analyzing the funding pattern of the total project cost. It is done only after this approval that the note is prepared for the opinion of all the parties and ministries and it is then approved by the Public Investment Board. New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party led Delhi Government has refused to grant sanction for construction of two new corridors of DMRC’s phase-IV project. Delhi government declaring two of the six corridors “economically unviable”. These two corridors are Rithala-Bawana-Narela and Aerocity-Saket-Tughlakabad corridor which have been found to be non-feasible in a detailed analysis of Phase IV conducted by the chief secretary at the behest of the Kejriwal government. The DMRC had sought a nod for three routes- Janakpuri West to RK Ashram, Mukundpur to Maujpur and Aerocity-Tughlakabad. It was planning to initiate work for Phase-IV starting from the Aerocity line, followed by Rithala-Bawana-Narela as it deemed a significant route to the DMRC. It had also put in place tasks like civil design, building architect so as to start the work as soon as it gets a green signal from the government.
