Banglore Metro | BMRCL Writes to IL&FS Unit over ORR Metro Line Contract

Bengaluru: Before taking a final call on awarding the 19 Km Outer Ring Road (ORR), the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) has written to IL&FS Engineering and Construction seeking its response to eight queries. With IL&FS in a deep mess, the BMRCL wants to insulate its projects from any problems in the future. Bangalore Metro | First six coach metro train flagged off by Karnataka CM

Bengaluru : A major relief for passengers traveling in crowded metro coaches, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited’s (BMRCL’s) much-awaited first six coach Metro was flagged on Friday evening at 5:30 p.m. Chief minister HD Kumaraswamy flagged off the train from a decorated Byappanahalli metro station in the presence of deputy CM G Parameshwara and Union minister of state for housing and urban affairs  Hardeep Singh Puri. Bangaluru: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation  (BMRCL) has registered almost 20 million rupees in one year through advertisements at its stations and is now preparing to increase it in the next fiscal year. Now he is planning to open every available space in the 40 Phase-I stations for announcements soon. Experimentation in this regard has already started at the Kempe Gowda Interchange metro station. An unconventional type of advertising greets one here on the escalators. The handrails stand out in a striking pink with a product that is advertised. Bangalore Metro | BMRL overpass will be more effective for reduce congestion

Bangalore: The Jayadeva flyover, which has served Bengalis for 11 years, will soon be replaced by the city’s first overpass from the Silk Board junction to Ragigudda, whose plans have been developed by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited ( BMRL). The demolition of the flyover will start at the end of January. As a first step, BMRCL and other civic agencies have begun to change aerial cables and power poles to widen the road from Silk Board Junction to Ragigudda Junction at Jayanagar 9th Block, and both sides of the overpass will soon be barricaded for demolition. BMRCL has issued the work order to the contractors, Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) and URC Construction, for the construction of five elevated stations, elevated road by rail and extension of roads in the section at a cost of Rs 797.29crore, while A Mumbai based company that specializes in the dismantling of structures will handle the demolition.
