Delhi Metro | High court ask justification to DMRC on non availability of free water at station

New Delhi: On Monday Delhi High Court asked to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to justify the not availability of free water to the passengers. While other metros are servicing free water for passengers, some of the metros are Kochi, Jaipur, Lucknow and other cities metro. Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice V.K. Rao"s bench asked DMRC how they are going to provide drinking water to the passengers at one place within the metro stations so that everyone can reach them. The court said that make clear how DMRC will implement it. Explain whether free drinking water can be provided at a particular place within the station, where all the passengers have access. After this, the court fixed the next hearing of the matter on October 12. Mumbai Monorail | Staircase brought monorail again in controversy

Mumbai: Once again the Mumbai Monorail is in the argument. Bhavya Heights Society, a housing society in Wadala has complained that the point of entry and exit staircase at the Wadala monorail station is blocking the access of fire brigade in the society. This housing society has now moved to high court which has castigated Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for not working in an organized way which has resulted in such situations. Now the court has said and directed the authorities further to assure that the other monorail project from Jacob Circle to Chembur will not have such problems. Delhi Metro | Delhi High Court slams DMRC and CISF on stopping metro services

New Delhi: On 5 July High Court issues the notices to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for two clubbed PIL.The first petition was filed by Puran Chand Arya which was clubbed by the court with a second PIL which was filed for New Delhi Municipal Council’s contractual sanitation workers who had dumped garbage outside prominent government buildings like the Rail Bhavan and the Shastri Bhavan in Lutyen’s Delhi, demanding regularization of jobs and better wages. On Thursday Bench directed that both the matters should be heard together. A bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar said referring to such protests that all of them should go to jail because of whom public had suffered a lot.
