Bangalore Metro | BMRC finally to get Paytm option post uproar

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) finally offers respite to metro commuters. BMRCL has decided to permit commuters to recharge smart cards using Paytm application. This move comes after uproar from commuters who found it difficult to recharge their cards. This move has been welcomed by metro commuters who were facing problem for a long time. With Paytm interface, riders will be able to save time and reach destination earlier. Commuters will be able to use Paytm app to recharge smart cards and also at major BMTC bus stations as well. The problem came to limelight when Deccan Chronicle reported in its paper the plight of commuters. Many shared that they had to stand in serpentine queues to recharge their smart cards. Mumbai Metro | Commuters happy with Paytm facility at metro station

Mumbai: Commuters travelling in Mumbai Metro are really happy with the officials introducing Paytm facility at metro stations. All one has to do is scan the code and enter the metro station. No need to stand in queue at the ticket window or vending station. Using mobile phone, commuters have to use the Paytm App to make payments and hop on to the ride. This simple interface has made life easier for Mumbai Metro travelers who otherwise have to stand in queues to get ticket either at metro or local stations. Mumbai Metro One introduces mobile ticketing facility with PayTM

Mumbai:  Reliance Infrastructure -run Mumbai Metro One  has launched a mobile ticketing facility called ‘Skiiip Q’ in association with digital payments player Paytm, that will help commuters book their tickets even from outside the metro stations. Instead of using tokens or smart cards, commuters can travel using the QR code generated by mobile app on automated fare collection gates of the 11.4-km Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar metro line. The facility is available on the Paytm App and app of technology partner Ridlr and will soon be introduced on the Mumbai Metro App. The tokens and smart cards will continue to be available at ticketing windows with the added option available.
