Chennai Metro | CMRL to inspect 21km elevated corridor

Chennai:  The  Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) will be carrying out inspection the of 21km elevated corridor. The test will be conducted to understand the structural strength of the work. This is to check the stability of elevated metro corridors that constructed across two arterial roads. CMRL will soon carry on ut inspection drive of the constructed structures. To carry out the inspection work, Chennai Metro officials are trying to identify firms with expertise. The selected firm will investigate, inspect and prepare a report and offer suggestions if any. CMRL operates a 21km elevated corridor beginning from Thirumangalam ramp to St Thomas Mount and the other from Saidapet ramp to Airport. An official from CMRL shares that it is imperative to carry inspection of elevated corridors. This becomes necessary when the elevated segment completes two years of function. Hyderabad Metro | CEI completes OETS inspection, Ameerpet-MGBS section will open soon

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) is all set to open metro services on Ameerpet-MGBS section. The trial run of the metro rail on the MGBS route from Ameerpet was successful. On this route, the electrification work on metro track along with Over Head Electric Traction System (OETS) was inspected by the Chief Electrical Inspector DVS Raju appointed by the Central Government. During the inspection, he expressed satisfaction over the success of the work. Chennai Metro | CMRL likely to open key lines in 2 weeks of Anna Salai stations

Chennai: The ambitious and first underground metro station stretch in Chennai Metro is most likely to be other stations on Anna Salai. It was last year the project was kick started for the Thirumangalam and Nehru Park via Poonamallee High Road stretch, now the CMRL officials post inspection would soon open other stations on route together with a part of Central Metro as well as stations on Anna Salai. Chennai Metro | Safety inspection of CMRL’s Shenoy Nagar-Central Metro line begins

Chennai: The team headed by the commissioner of metro rail safety (CMRS) has started its inspection drive for the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) from Monday morning onwards. In the first phase the team will begin inspection of the upline between Shenoy Nagar-Central Metro lines. The upline Shenoy Nagar-Central Metro line is approximately 5.62km stretch. Whereas, the downline which is 2.5km falls between Central Metro and Nehru Park will also be checked by the team. The inspection will be also cover the 4.5km stretch that falls between Little Mount and AG-DMS, once the inspection for Shenoy Nagar-Central Metro lines are done. Delhi Metro | CMRS completes safety inspection of remaining section of Magenta Line-8

New Delhi: The Commissioner for Metro Railways Safety (CMRS) today completed safety inspection of remaining 25.6 km stretch of Magenta Line between Kalka Ji Mandir and Janakpuri (West). CMRS Sh. S.K. Pathak accompanied by Sh. Rajmal Khoiwal (Dy.CRS/S&T/NDLS), Sh. Shalabh Tyagi (Dy.CRS/ET/LKO), Sh. Rajeev Kumar (Dy.CRS/G/LKO), Sh. Uttam Prakash (Dy.CRS/Mech/LKO) and Smt.
