Monorail | Recent incident awake operator on emergency alert
Mumbai: On September 2, the issue arises with the Monorail services came to a standstill due to cable infringement leaving 60 passengers stranded on the train. Then the Monorail operator has written to Mumbai Police and Mumbai Fire Brigade seeking their assistance and cooperation, in case of an emergency or accident. Later the operator has also written to hospitals along the Chembur-Wadala route for cooperation, in case of a medical emergency. Due to this incident the passengers stranded for almost one hour and services being a delay for three hours. This is not first in fact ever since Chembur-Wadala Monorail services started in February 2014, there has been a number of times a constant breakdown arises with passengers getting stranded inside due to various technical glitches.
