Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro will soon add another feather to its cap. By first week of July, PowerGrid – state run transmission utility will be commissioning the first commercial e-vehicle fast charger at one of the metro stations. Chennai: With the view to promote electric and hybrid vehicles, metro stations in India are racing up to offer electric charging facilities. After Hyderabad Metro, Chennai Metro is all set to set up infrastructure for powering e-bikes and e-cars at various metro stations. To offer this facility, Chennai Metro is expected to sign an agreement with Power Grid Corporation of India. This comes in wake of the smart cities project and growing population in the city.
