Hyderabad Metro | HMRL inaugurates Electric cars on self drive & rental basis

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro will soon add another feather to its cap. By first week of July, PowerGrid – state run transmission utility will be commissioning the first commercial e-vehicle fast charger at one of the metro stations. This is part of the partnership between Hyderabad Metro and PowerGrid to create facility to charge e-vehicles. Chennai Metro | CMRL offers to charge e-bikes and electric cars at metro stations

Chennai: With the view to promote electric and hybrid vehicles, metro stations in India are racing up to offer electric charging facilities. After Hyderabad Metro, Chennai Metro is all set to set up infrastructure for powering e-bikes and e-cars at various metro stations. To offer this facility, Chennai Metro is expected to sign an agreement with Power Grid Corporation of India. Power Grid inks pact with L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad to set up electric car charging points

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Stations would soon double up as electric car charging stations. Central government planning to set up charging points for electric vehicles at every 3 km in major cities. This comes in wake of the smart cities project and growing population in the city. After from the cities, centre also is looking to set up similar stations on busy national highways in the country at every 50kms. It will also help in procuring land from various municipal bodies for the project.
