Nagpur Metro | Maha Metro proposes for acquisition of 3 mt land along existing trails

Nagpur: Maha-Metro has proposed the acquisition of three meters of land along existing trails on both sides of North Ambazari Road and Wardha Road. Revealing this Dr. Brijesh Dixit, Managing Director, Maha-Metro , said that it would allow the proper development of trails and would provide a much needed vent on the roads. Against the land acquired from private individuals, an additional space index (FSI) can be provided and we have proposed the inclusion of this proposal in the Development Transfer Policy (DdD) that, in preparation of the State Government. Further explaining his idea, Dr. Dixit said that the existing trails are unusable due to the presence of utilities and that if they can be pushed further in, then we are ready to build a single identical wall that stretches in both corridors. The paths that Maha-Metro would build would fulfill their true purpose and would have no obstruction. I was interacting with journalists on Tuesday. When elaborating the point further, he stated ...

Nagpur Metro | Decks cleared for Zero Mile metro rail station of Metro project

Nagpur: The decks have been cleaned for the proposed subway station on Zero Mileon Wardha Street. The large building of the fisheries department on the G + 2 floor has been completely demolished to pave the way for the building of the Metro G + 20 train station. Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) has demolished the fishing department building with the help of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and other departments in recent days. Now there will be a next-generation metro train station with commercial stores, etc. along with a patrimonial walk. The stone and the Zero Mile facilities have been neglected for years. The state government and also the Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) had proposed the expansion and beautification of Zero Mile, but they could not succeed. The NIT in partnership with Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) planned a good project but had to stop with Maha Metro proposing its plan. Now, Maha Metro will use the spaces adjacent to Zero Mile for commer...

Nagpur Metro | NMRC increase the stamp duty by 1% in the Metro Rail corridor

Nagpur: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has approved the proposal to increase the stamp duty by 1% in the Metro Rail corridor. Duty now will be 7.5% instead of 6.5%. The registration charge of 1% (maximum 30,000 rupees) will remain unchanged. The stamp duty on the city, except the area under the Metro corridor, will remain at 6.5%. The corridor is the area that is 500 meters on both sides of the Metro road. While the stamp duty was increased, the proposal to increase the floor to space index (FSI) in the Metro corridor is still under consideration. The government is also thinking of increasing the development charges imposed while sanctioning a building in the corridor. The decision to increase the stamp duty is very important for Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRCL) since it will get half the revenue generated by a 1% surcharge charge. The remaining 50% will go to Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) or Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) depending on the ownership of ...
