Lucknow Metro | LMRC completes 80% of civil works of bridge over Gomti river
Lucknow: The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has completed over 80 per cent of the civil work for a 177 meters long balanced cantilever Metro bridge which is being constructed over river ‘Gomti’ by erecting special spans in an extremely challenging geographical condition in the capital city of Lucknow. Once constructed fully, this special cantilever bridge will connect both the ends of the river, thereby, providing seamless Metro connectivity to the trans ‘Gomti’ region of Lucknow. Soon the residents of Hanuman Sethu Mandir locality, students and teachers of Lucknow University, Colvin Taluqdar College and the nearby residents, people residing in Police Line and New Hyderabad Colony shall be travelling by Metro. Construction of this cantilever bridge posed a great challenge for Lucknow Metro as the construction had to be done without disturbing the flow of water in the river.
