Bullet Train gets Rs 5,500 crore loan from International agency JICA

New Delhi : Finally Bullet Train project is getting the much needed impetus. As per Business Standard reports, Japan The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has signed an agreement with the Indian government to provide an Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan of 89,547 million Japanese Yen (approximately Rs 5,500 crore) as Tranche 1 on the "Project for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR)" corridor, commonly known as bullet train project. The purpose of MAHSR is to build up a high-frequency mass transportation system. The proposed route for building the High-Speed Rail is between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The project will be made on lines of Japan"s Shinkansen technology (Bullet Train). This will go a long in way in enhancing mobility in India as well as aid in regional economic development. JICA not stopping funds for Bullet train, assures NHSRCL

New Delhi: There were media reports doing rounds for some time that Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has stopped financial support for Bullet Train, India"s high speed rail project . National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) has assured that these reports hold not truth. NHSRCL is the nodal agency for execution of the Bullet Train project in India. The agency has rubbished all claims that JICA has stopped funding on the pretext that the government should first resolves impending issues with farmers. Post announcement of the Bullet train project, there have been controversies and problems with farmers refusing to part with their land. The government at the centre in order to resolve the issue has formed committee. Owing to cash crunch and subsequent delay in resolving farmer’s issue is likely to extend project deadline. India in talks to buy 18 E5 Series bullet trains from Japan for ₹70 billion

New Delhi: If things go as planned then the Indian government will launch country’s first bullet train by 2023. As per information center is setting grounds to purchase 18 E5 Series bullet trains from Japan for ₹70 billion. The Bullet Train project is financed via soft loans from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) . India is likely to spend around ₹70 billion on procuring the first batch of Bullet Train. The train will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad route. Very soon tender for purchasing Bullet Train from manufacturers in Japan will go live. The model will be the very popular Shinkansen E5 Series. New Delhi: In order to ease out the issue pertaining to land acquisition for Bullet Train, National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) has come out with a sensible solution. It plans to turn coaches into clinics that will help Indian Railways in acquiring land. NHSRCL has taken this call after it learnt that villagers needed better health facilities. The villagers also need access to education, portable water as well as infrastructure facility. The officials plan to turn coaches into clinic to at least make medical facilities accessible to villagers. High Speed Rail | Bullet train terminals to be constructed close to highways

Ahmedabad: The proposed Ahmedabad-Mumbai High Speed Railway Project is gaining momentum. As per the recent reports, passenger terminals for bullet train in Vadodara and Ahmedabad stations will be alongside present railway tracks of Indian railways. The other bullet train stations in Gujarat will be made parallel to either national or state highways. As per the proposal, four stations will be in Maharashtra and eight stations will be in Gujarat. The project is scheduled to be made on the 508-km high speed corridor between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. In Gujarat the stations will be made at Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati. While in Maharashtra, the station will be constructed at Boisar, Thane, Virar and BKC.
