Lucknow Metro | UP government approves setup of UP Metro Rail Corporation
Lucknow: The government of Uttar Pradesh gave his approval for the setup of the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation. The decision was made at a state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath here, an official spokesman said. Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation will be established on the Maharashtra Rail Corporation lines, the spokesperson said. As the metro projects in different cities, through separate corporations, take more time to implement, the cabinet decided to establish the UP Metro Rail Corporation. Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation will be restructured and will take the form of a ‘unique special purpose vehicle’, the spokesperson said.
