Kochi Metro | Commuters might make airline check-in via metro train
Kochi: Good news seems to be underway for passengers who are flying out of Kochi International airport via Kochi Metro stations. There are plans to offer check-in facility via Kochi Metro. This possibility is being explored by Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) as well as state government, CIAL and several stakeholders. The officials are looking at offering facility of airline check-in as and baggage drop points at specific metro stations for those passengers who need to fly out via Kochi International airport. KR Jyothilal, Transport secretary had recently shared that check-in facilities might be initiated from JLN Station. This project will be part of the efforts to combine Kochi Metro with the airport. Jyothilal also stated that they are working on the feasibility of the project as they need to set up system of transporting luggage from Kochi Metro to Cial.
