Mumbai metro | Children below 12 can travel in for Rs 5 during weekends

Mumbai:   The Reliance Infrastructure-led Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL) has announced a promotional fare for children below the age of 12 years. The long-lasting decision over increasing of ticket fares of Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro-1 was stuck for almost four years now. Now children will be able to travel at a discounted price of Rs 5 for single journey during weekends. The existing fares are Rs 10, 20, 30, and 40. The children can become ambassadors for the Mumbai Metro services, and it is a special bonanza to mark the festive season, said metro operator. According to the announcement, a child below the age of 12 will be able to ride in the Metro - on Saturday and Sunday - at a discounted fare of just Rs 5. However, return journey will be charged Rs 10. Mumabi Metro | MMOPL introduces additional train services in off peak hours

Mumbai: The Reliance Infrastructure promoted Mumbai Metro One (MMOPL) has taken yet another commuter friendly decision by announcing 44 additional trips in the off peak hours. Mumbai Metro | MMOPL seeks more riders, seeks collaboration with private firms

Mumbai: The  Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd  (MMOPL) is the first to operate metro corridor Versova- Andheri- Ghatkopar. To have more people to use Public transport, MMOPL wants to collaborate with companies so as to appeal for employees to commute to Metro 1. For this, they have issued the bulk pass for the companies who are convinced by this idea. MMOPL is a joint venture company which is owned by RATP Dev Transdev Asia and Reliance Infrastructure. It stands in the eighth highest passenger density of any metro line in the world.  It carries 3.40 lakh commuters and on other days it carries 4 lakh passengers. Mumbai: A letter has been written to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also heads Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) by Kirit Somaiya, BJP MP of Mumbai to increase the number of coaches from four to six for convenience of passengers  of Metro 1 which operates from Versova to Andheri-Ghatkopar (VAG) corridor it’s the city’s only operational Mumbai Metro One route.
