Noida Metro | NMRC to get two more aqua line trains from CRRC by March 20

Noida: Chinese company CRRC Corporation Limited has dispatched two more trains to Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) and they are expected to reach in Noida by March 20, 2018. On December 13, 2017, the NMRC had received its first aqua line train of four coaches , paving the way for a test trial run that started on January 2. The new trains that will arrive also have four coaches each. The NMRC is procuring trains from China at an estimated cost of ₹800 crore. According to NMRC Spokesperson, they are to get a total 19 trains for the 30km Noida-Greater Noida Metro Link, which will be ready for trial run in April. But they will get all these 19 trains by 2019. They need 11 trains to start their commercial operations on Noida-Greater Noida metro link, which is almost ready. Presently they are busy in testing the electrical work and signals, and giving finishing touches to the Metro stations. Maharashtra to frame an attractive policy for establishing that offers incentives to the companies of manufacture of coaches

Mumbai: The chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, has asked the officials of the department of industries of the state to develop a policy that offers incentives to the companies of manufacture of coaches so that they establish units in Maharashtra. Fadnavis, who heads the Development Authority of the Metropolitan Region of Mumbai (MMRDA), recently asked his officials to enter into a dialogue with the companies that manufacture Metro buses. Pravin Darade ( additional metropolitan commissioner of MMRDA): “The measure is part of the ‘Make in Maharashtra’ program, and CM has directed urban development departments and industries to formulate a package that offers incentives to companies that are willing. to carry out the manufacture of rolling stock in Maharashtra.” 2. Noida: The Noida Metro  Rail Corporation (NMRC) started its first official trial run today at 3:30 pm on Aqua line which connecting Noida and Greater Noida. It has 21 metro stations, with the Noida Sector 71 in Noida and the Delta Depot station in Greater Noida, which are the two terminal stations, according to the statement. Noida Metro | NMRC receives first Aqua Line Metro train from CRRC China

Noida: The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) received first train for the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Aqua line which reached the Greater Noida depot on Thursday. According to NMRC Officials, the four-coach train will be formally unveiled for a first look on December 18, 2017 by the Managing Directors of NMRC, Alok Tandon. DMRC Chief Mangu Singh will also present in inauguration ceremony. First trials for the corridor are expected to start from the end of the month. The first train of the 29.7 km Noida-Greater Noida Metro corridor was dispatched from CRRC Nanjing , China for Mundra port in Gujarat on November 2, 2017 and from there, the train was rolled out by road to the Greater Noida depot. Kolkata Metro | Indian Rly to get Chinese made air-conditioned coaches by February 2018

Kolkata: In another year, travelling on the Kolkata Metro network in the hot summer months will become a thing of the past – the city will get 14 trains with at least 112 advanced air-conditioned coaches from China, a senior railway official said. These made-in-China coaches imported at a cost of  Rs.  7.1 crore per coach will arrive by February 2018, the official told news agency PTI. Kolkata Metro is hoping that it will soon be able to replace non-AC coaches with the new ones, at least in the existing north-south corridor. The imported coaches will be fitted with high cooling capacity 30-tonne air-conditioners instead of the 22-tonne machines installed in some of the old coaches in the metro network. Railway firm Keolis bags second metro contract in China

Keolis has secured a contract via its Chinese joint venture (JV) Shanghai Keolis to operate and maintain Shanghai Pudong International Airport’s new Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) automated metro system. The new line is expected to connect the existing T1 and T2 terminals to the future satellite terminals and is scheduled to open in June 2019. The 20-year contract represents Keolis’ second automated metro project in China. Keolis International CEO Bernard Tabary said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the Pudong International contract, which in addition to reinforcing our reliability as a partner to Chinese authorities, confirms Keolis’ worldwide expertise in automated and CBTC metro operations.” Construction of the new metro line forms part of Shanghai International Airport’s initiative to extend the capacity of Pudong International Airport from 60 million to 80 million passengers per year.
