Mumbai Metro | CM Fadnavis promises to extend Metro rail upto Gaimukh

Mumbai: The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Devendra Fadnavis promised Mira-Bhayander residents that Metro will be extended up to Gaimukh and assured to conduct a feasibility study immediately.

“MMRDA is meant to develop the metropolitan region and we are committed to fulfill your requirements. I promise you an integrated transport system and also a stadium at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Maidan in Mira Road”, the Chief Minister was speaking at the Bhoomipujan ceremony for the 403 MLD Surya Regional Water Supply Scheme on Monday.

The Chief Minister further announced a Ro-Ro service which will carry passengers and vehicles around areas Gorai, Borivli, Bhayander Vasai etc., ”This would mean that the Mira-Bhayander area will get connectivity through Railway, Metro, Road and Water”, he said.

Chennai: Chennai Metro Rail Limited has officially released a route map for its ambitious phase 2 metro project that will connect far-flung areas of the city through three corridors. In February, Metro Rail floated nine tenders for detailed design consultants and for soil tests. In one of the tenders, it has released a map of phase 2 with 104 stations, covering 107km. Delhi Metro | CMRS to start inspection of Durgabai Deshmukh-Lajpat Nagar section

New Delhi: The Pink Line is the second new line of Phase III of Delhi Metro which was partially opened on 14 March 2018. There will be an inspection of Delhi Metro"s Pink line, from Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus to Lajpat Nagar stations. The inspection will be done by the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) on July 23. The inspection will concentrate on the way for the opening of the section, which is likely to be inaugurated early next month, the official said. This stretch will have two interchange points INA and Lajpat Nagar. There are six new stations on this 8.10 Km stretch which are are Sir Vishveshariah Moti Bagh, Bhikhaji Cama Place, Sarojini Nagar, INA, South Extension and Lajpat Nagar.
