L&T bags Track Works contract of Delhi–Meerut RRTS Corridor

NEW DELHI (Metro Rail News): Larsen & Toubro has emerged as the lowest bidder for the 82.15 km Delhi – Meerut RRTS Line‘s Package 17 involving the supply and installation of tracks after officials from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) opened financial bids submitted by different firms.

NCRTC had invited bids from firms in April 2020 with a deadline of 1260 days. The technical bids were opened in July with three major bidders – L&T, IRCON and KEC International. During technical bid evaluation, IRCON International’s bid was rejected and as a result of it, their financial (price) bid was not opened. The estimated cost is not yet made public.

The scope of the work includes Manufacturing, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Ballast-less or Ballasted Track from Sarai Kale Khan to Modi Puram including Jangpura Stabling Yard, Duhai and Modipuram Depots for RRTS Corridor of NCRTC.

If no issues arise during the financial evaluation, then Larsen & Toubro will be awarded the Package 17’s contract according to different sources at NCRTC. The duration of the work is 1260 days.
