Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India in the press release shared, “There has been a significant push from the government in the infrastructure sector as seen from the Union Budget FY18-19. It also recommended the promotion of affordable housing with the establishment of a dedicated affordable housing fund (AHF) in the National Housing Bank. This drive has provided a huge potential for stakeholders in the sector. From roadways, railways to airports and other smart-city initiatives, the last few years have witnessed a phenomenal growth in the sector, leading to world-class facilities coming up across the country. Also, the Indian government’s move to cut GST rates on construction equipment from 28 per cent to18 per cent has resulted in unprecedented demand in India over the last few months. Against this landscape, we at UBM India firmly believe that the Concrete Show India 2018 will prove to be a channel to the opportunities existing in India’s rapidly growing concrete market.”
