Mott MacDonald appoints S S Acharya as MD of its India business

Mott MacDonald has appointed S S Acharya as Managing Director of its India business. He will continue to build the consultancy’s business in India and maintain key client relationships, as well as providing strategic direction for key pursuits and projects. S S Acharya succeeds Liz King, who has relocated to Dubai to take up a new role as Middle East and South Asia (MESA) regional excellence director.

S S Acharya has over 35 years’ experience in leading, co-ordinating and undertaking studies, in different areas from corporate strategy, social and economic development program design, policy impact studies, sector development studies including design of public private partnership frameworks. He has been with Mott MacDonald for over 25 years and has performed key roles which have led to the company’s success in India. Most recently S S Acharya was development director and was responsible for the consultancy’s strategic direction, building new alliances and ventures for Mott MacDonald’s areas of activity in India and neighbouring countries.
