IT-TRANS presents intelligent solutions for the public transport sector

Soon Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre will again become a meeting place for the international transport industry. IT and public-transport experts from around the world will gather from 6 to 8 March 2018 in Karlsruhe to work on tomorrow’s mobility solutions at IT-TRANS. Circa 250 exhibitors from more than 30 countries will show their newest products and services on 15,000 square metres of exhibition space.


IT-TRANS is organised by the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) and Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress GmbH in media association with Metro Rail News. The International Conference and Exhibition on IT Solutions for Public Transport celebrated its debut in Karlsruhe in 2008. Within a short period, the biennial event was established as the most important platform for the industry. IT-TRANS is aimed at all players in the public transport sector, and in particular at decision-makers from transportation companies and representatives of the private sector, government and professional associations.


In the exhibition about 250 enterprises and service provider from more than 30 countries present cutting-edge products, developments and innovations in topics like travel information, integrated fare management, smart cards, security and software systems and traffic management. The exhibition also features Market Update Forums where exhibitors present their best practices and case studies in these categories.


In the conference simultaneously international speakers will discuss innovations and how to practically implement IT solutions for public transport. At seminars, workshops and presentations held during the three-day conference. Conference sessions will cover topics such as smart cities, new businesses and mobility services and integrated mobility platforms.


With the Conference and the specialist Exhibition, IT-TRANS combines two formats. Furthermore, it is the only platform worldwide dedicated to IT solutions for the public transport sector.
