Delhi Metro | First driverless train of DMRC"s Magenta line derails, crashes into wall even before inauguration

New Delhi: In an unfortunate turn of events, a trial run of a driverless metro train on the DMRC’s Magenta line (Line-8) went off the rails, crashed into and broken the wall of workshop area of Kalindi Kunj depot.


A driver less train (UTO) train derailed and crashed in to wall in DMRC’s Kalindi Kunj depot of Magenta Line.

The Kalkaji Mandir-Botanical Garden line of the Delhi Metro, which is claimed to be reduced the travel time between Noida and south Delhi, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 25.


RRM (train puller) got damaged and rolled down from the boundary wall of Kalindi Kunj depot.

Sources said the incident took place around 5.00 pm during trial run of train in the depot.
