Hyderabad Metro | HMRL"s metro project enters Limca Book of records

Hyderabad: Adding three feats to its name in the Limca Book of Records, the L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited is the first Metro Rail Project to get featured in the Limca Records.

In the latest edition of the Limca book of records 2017 released recently, the three records are mentioned -

Train Wrap advertisement during the pre-commissioning stage when three coaches of the first train of HMR during its trail run between Nagole and Mettuguda stations featured the footwear brand Centro for three months from August 7 to November 11, 2014.

L&T Metro Rail signed the agreement with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd (Coke) for pouring rights of all 64 stations on HMR for the first seven years.

The agreement with Shreyas Broadcasting Pvt Ltd was signed during the early construction phase of the project giving TV5 the exclusive right to be played at the metro stations.

Chennai: Chennai Metro Rail Limited has officially released a route map for its ambitious phase 2 metro project that will connect far-flung areas of the city through three corridors. In February, Metro Rail floated nine tenders for detailed design consultants and for soil tests. In one of the tenders, it has released a map of phase 2 with 104 stations, covering 107km. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 85,047 crore. Delhi Metro | CMRS to start inspection of Durgabai Deshmukh-Lajpat Nagar section

New Delhi: The Pink Line is the second new line of Phase III of Delhi Metro which was partially opened on 14 March 2018. There will be an inspection of Delhi Metro"s Pink line, from Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus to Lajpat Nagar stations. The inspection will be done by the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) on July 23. The inspection will concentrate on the way for the opening of the section, which is likely to be inaugurated early next month, the official said. This stretch will have two interchange points INA and Lajpat Nagar. There are six new stations on this 8.10 Km stretch which are are Sir Vishveshariah Moti Bagh, Bhikhaji Cama Place, Sarojini Nagar, INA, South Extension and Lajpat Nagar.
