Gurugram Metro | CM Khattar reviews the progress of metro rail projects in Haryana

Chandigarh: A meeting presided by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to review pending issues of metro and other railway projects here today. He reviewed the progress of Metro projects in Haryana and gave necessary directions to the officers concerned.


The meeting was told that Gurgaon metro — Badarpur to YMCA in Faridabad and Sikanderpur Station to NH 8, Gurgaon have already been made operational.


The metro link from Sikanderpur station to Sector 56, Gurgaon, Bahadurgarh metro project and Ballabhgarh metro project are under implementation and would be completed by the end of 2017.


The state government has requested Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to carry out a techno-feasibility study of three projects — metro connectivity from HUDA City Centre to Old Faridabad, extension of Delhi Metro till Kondli and metro connectivity between Faridabad and Gurgaon.

Chennai: Chennai Metro Rail Limited has officially released a route map for its ambitious phase 2 metro project that will connect far-flung areas of the city through three corridors. In February, Metro Rail floated nine tenders for detailed design consultants and for soil tests. In one of the tenders, it has released a map of phase 2 with 104 stations, covering 107km. Delhi Metro | CMRS to start inspection of Durgabai Deshmukh-Lajpat Nagar section

New Delhi: The Pink Line is the second new line of Phase III of Delhi Metro which was partially opened on 14 March 2018. There will be an inspection of Delhi Metro"s Pink line, from Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus to Lajpat Nagar stations. The inspection will be done by the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) on July 23. The inspection will concentrate on the way for the opening of the section, which is likely to be inaugurated early next month, the official said. This stretch will have two interchange points INA and Lajpat Nagar. There are six new stations on this 8.10 Km stretch which are are Sir Vishveshariah Moti Bagh, Bhikhaji Cama Place, Sarojini Nagar, INA, South Extension and Lajpat Nagar.
